A estas alturas imagino que muchas de ustedes ya sabrán que es el «tail hem» pero si todavía no lo saben, y para eso esta mi blog, el «tail hem» no es nada más y nada menos que las prendas que son más largas por detrás que por delante, pues como su nombre lo indica, «tail» viene de «cola» y «hem» de «dobladillo», por lo tanto es una falda o vestido que tiene una cola por detrás.

Aunque de momento no tengo ninguna prenda de este tipo, la verdad que la veo súper cómoda, y para el verano las encuentro ideales, claro que ya estamos a finales de agosto y el verano, muy a mi pesar, tiene sus días contados, pero la good news es que esta tendencia ha venido a quedarse por un buen tiempo y seguro que en este otoño-invierno la seguiremos viendo!

At this moment most of you will know what «tail hem» is, but if you don’t know it yet, and that is why I write this blog, «tail hem» are garments that are longer in the back than in the front and as it names indicates it kind of a «tail», therefore is a skirt or dress that has a «tail hem«. Believe it makes much sense in english than in Spanish!

Even that at the moment I have no garments of this type, the truth is that I find it pretty comfy, and for this time of the year are great, and even that summer is ending the good news is that this trend has come to stay for a while and for sure we will see it this autumn and winter!

Si la semana pasada hacía mi despedida particular a «London 2012», hoy le doy la bienvenida a «Rio 2016»!

Londres nos dejo unas imágenes un tanto míticas al más puro estilo del «Rey Midas» pero seguro que Rio nos traerá unos «Ángeles» que bailarán al ritmo de Samba y montarán su propia fiesta carnavalera, aunque algún diablillo seguro se colará por ahí… 😉

If last week I did my particular good bye to «London 2012», today I welcome «Rio 2016»!

London left us with some mythical images reminding us a kinda «Midas King» style but for sure Rio will bring us some «Angels» that will dance at Samba rhythm  and make their own carnival party, although some imps might crash over there… 😉

Tengo que decir que después de tanto pincho, tachuela y temática militar (y aunque en los posts anteriores demostré que puedes llegar a crear un look muy femenino),  hoy me apetecía una prenda ultra «lady like» y que en general nos suele quedar muy  bien a todas. Además, lo mejor de todo es que es de esas prendas «atemporales» y «saca apuros» que siempre te ayudará a lucir espectacular sin mucho esfuerzo. Sin duda no podría estar hablando de otra prenda que de la «falda lápiz» o «pencil skirt«.

A mi, personalmente, me encanta este tipo de falda puesto que aunque generalmente la asociamos más con looks de trabajo, la verdad que depende de cómo te la combines puedes acabar con un look de lo más rocker, punk o desenfadado. Basta con cambiar la parte de arriba y los complementos y «voilà» estas lista para ir de fiesta o a algún evento más informal.

I have to say that after all the studs, spikes and military mood (and even that in the previous post I show you some very feminine looks) today I really wanted to talk about a ultra «lady like» garment that in general suits eveybody really good. Moreover, the best thing is that this is kind of a timeless garment that could be use almost for any ocassion and always looks great. Of course, I couldn’t be talking of other thing than the «pencil skirt«.

Personally I love this type of skirt because even that we often associated it with a work look it depends with what you combine it to change totally your look for a more rocker, punk or even comfy one. You just have to change the upper part and you accessories and «voilà» you are ready for a party or a more informal event.
